Join in taking the first steps toward APR by learning how to prepare for your Readiness Review. Let experienced APR pros share their experiences and tips for success!

You will learn:

· How to complete the Questionnaire for your best chance of success. Bring a print out of the Readiness Review Questionnaire with initial responses/ideas drafted. www.praccreditation.org/becomeAPR/

· How to finalize your portfolio to set the tone for the process and help ensure you are well prepared. Bring your idea, outline, or draft of your Readiness Review Portfolio, which is evidence of your use of the essentials of public relations planning, execution and evaluation. www.praccreditation.org/portfolio-prep

· How to put your best foot forward and clearly communicate what you know with the Readiness Review panel.

· How to use the Readiness Review panel as a mentoring source for your best chances on the computer-based Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations.

· How to gain the experience you need in practice areas you are lacking so you can present a well-rounded body of work.

 

Moderated by:

Michael Tullier, APR, Director of External Relations, Auburn University College of Education and Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) Chair. Michael achieved Accreditation in 2003 and, after supporting local and regional Accreditation efforts, joined the UAB in 2005 and was appointed Chair in 2008, the first UAB Chair to sit for the current computer-based Examination. He directs all elements of PR for AU's College of Education following a 15-year career that includes experience in higher education and nonprofit organizations. Michael's public relations service includes top leadership positions in PRCA and SPRF, in addition to his work in PRSA and on the UAB.



Amy Reagan
, APR, Communications Specialist, Boeing Company. Amy is a PRSA Member and the PRCA-Huntsville Accreditation Chair. Amy will present a section of her portfolio and share tips that aided in her successful experience with the Accreditation process last year.
